About
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, I currently reside in the East Bay with my husband,
3 cats, 2 dogs, 1 rabbit, and a feisty gang of fruit thieving squirrels.
I received my first illustration job at 17, which included 110 anatomical drawings for a massage book, and was instrumental in pursuing art as a career path. My studies began in the graphic design department at the Academy of Art college, but my desire to add illustration to most of my homework projects eventually shifted my course, and I graduated with a BFA in illustration in 1995.
I now work professionally as a traditional and digital illustrator, designer and production artist for print-based product. I thrive off the balance between the tactile messiness of paints & pastels, and the tidy functionality of publishing software such as InDesign. When time allows I also enjoy working with fabrics and taking on new creative challenges,
like this website for instance (so please bear with me!).
